Place an image in your flash stage then go to "Modify > Bitmap > Trace Bitmap", the result is that the external image becomes a normal flash draw, just like you made it with the pencil in flash application, you can then change colors in that draw and other things that you normally cannot do with normal images in flash (like removing the background content)
